Like Orpheus tries vainly to bring Eurydice back to life giving rest to his loneliness, so the contemporary man is endlessly and vainly searching for objects which could fill his existential emptiness. In this consciousness the main character becomes a link to the illegibility of reality: Orpheus is the seer artist who, through his art, is an "eye upon things" and on symbolic reality.
